ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREE (A.A.)
The Associate of Arts Degree provides a student with College-credit curricula designed to prepare him/her for paraprofessional level of employment and for advancement in specific fields. At the same time too, the Associate of Arts Degree provides full credit for transfer to other institutions for the purpose of satisfying the requirements for a Bachelor’s degree.
Students will be allowed to register for a maximum of four continuous years in order to complete the Associate Degree.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSOCIATE OF ARTS DEGREES
The overall requirements for the Associate of Arts Degree are as follows:
- Earn a minimum of 62 credit hours in academic courses
- Earn a minimum grade point average of 2.00. Some programmes may have higher grade point requirements
- Meet the Degree requirements of the specific programme of study in which the Degree is to be awarded, including the general education requirements, as detailed in the College catalogue issued in the year in which the degree began, or which was in effect during the academic year of the most recent readmission to the College
- Complete the Research Paper/Thesis wherever this is required
